what i absorb in Caribbean history
In the 3weeks of being back to school what I learnt in Caribbean history is that there were 4 arguments presented against👍 and for 👎 slavery and the amelioration act. the 4 arguments for slavery are based on the morals and principles and treating the slaves as people. the anti slavey arguments Humanitarian argument-it showed the inhumane side of slavery and how the slaves are being treated highlighting the brutality of their lives. They endured not only physical but also psychological trauma, witnessing other slaves being whipped, hanged, and mutilated as a means of instilling fear and control. Religious argument-the belief that all is equal in the eyes of God clashed with the reality of slavery. The enslaved people were regarded as property like an animal 🦮who depends on their owners for sustenance and care, which is opposite to what the lord says in the bible, that no one's master.
